If you’ve seen recent pictures of Alicia Keys, you know she’s got an amazing body, and although Alicia’s been on the 5-Factor Diet for a long time, some close sources to the singer say she underwent a cleansing regimen to lose a few extra pounds. Keep reading to find out what Alicia did to lose 10 pounds!

Alicia Keys' New Diet

Like most celebrities, Alicia is always in the spotlight and sometimes celebs need to lose a few pounds either for some sort of big premier, an event, or even a video shoot. Although we’re not quite sure why Alicia wanted to lose 10 pounds (because let’s face it, she already looks great as it is), she did go on the Master Cleanse Diet, which is also called the Lemonade Diet.

This diet is held a minimum of 10 days (with each day, you can lose at least 1 pound). Although this is a very hard diet to keep up, it’s a great way to cleanse your body and loose extra weight. During this time, the dieter is only allowed to ingest the lemonade mixture (at least 8 glasses a day). The Master Cleanse Diet is comprised of a mixture of freshly squeezed lemon juice, grade B maple syrup, cayenne pepper, and water.

So far, Alicia’s sources say she’s having a hard time sticking to the diet, but she’s only got a few more days to go. Other celebrities that followed this diet include Beyonce, who did it to lose 15 pounds for her role in Dreamgirls.
