Angelina Jolie’s Low Carb Diet
Angelina Jolie is one of those timeless actresses that will always be beautiful, but we’re thinking she might be a bit too skinny! Granted, she’s probably just got good genes, we think she needs to eat a little more and kick in some curves! Regardless, Angelina has an amazing body and it’s all thanks to her following the Low Carbohydrate Diet.

So what exactly is this diet all about? Well it’s pretty obvious that it deals with having a low intake of carbs. But to get more specific, the Low Carbohydrate Diet advocates reducing the consumption of nutritive carbohydrates (net carbs) to very low levels. This means the dieter must reduce or eliminate the consumption of desserts, breads, pasta, potatoes, rice, and other sweet or starchy foods. Some recommend levels as low as 20-30 grams of “net carbs” per day, at least in the early stages of dieting.
Reducing your carbohydrate intake to minimal, will kick in ketosis (production of ketones to to be used as energy instead of glucose). This is a very healthy diet for anyone wishing to either lose a lot of weight, or keep their current weight. Angelina follows this diet very strictly, but she also puts in a lot of exercise too. Aside from dieting, she also works out 5 times a week, starting with cardio and ending with strength-training exercises.
