Ashlee Simpson’s Diet

March 23rd, 2009 Posted in Ashlee Simpson

Ashlee Simpson is a new mommy now so she doesn’t have nearly as much time to worry about what she eats and how often she exercises. Nonetheless, she’s still got an amazing figure and we salute her for that! These days, Ashlee is devoted to her family as well as her career, but she’s also adopting a new diet. Wanna know which one?

Ashlee Simpson's Diet

Apparently, Ashlee has just switched to a diet that her entire family can participate in and that is the Macrobiotic Diet.

The macrobiotic approach to eating is based on choosing foods that are less processed and more natural, and employing more traditional methods of cooking.

Dietary recommendations include whole grains such as brown rice and grain products such as pasta, a variety of cooked and raw vegetables, beans and bean products such as tofu, sea vegetables, mild natural seasoning, fish, fruit, nuts, seeds, and mild beverages.

Certain types of vegetables, such as tomatoes and eggplant, are avoided temporarily or used sparingly. Food should be organically grown and eaten fresh. The Macrobiotic lifestyle also provides guidelines as to how food should be prepared. Using a microwave to cook food is prohibited, and rice must be cooked in a pressure cooker. Food should be eaten and chewed slowly, in a relaxed manner.

This is an excellent diet for anyone not only wishing to lose weight, but also maintain their current weight. And what’s also great about the Macrobiotic Diet is that anyone can participate, regardless of age. It’s basically adopting a healthy eating habit and sticking to it. Ashlee says she is working very hard to keep up with the diet, and so far, she has no regrets.
