Beyonce is famous for her unbelievably well-kept body. Although she’s got major curves, she is not afraid to show them because let’s face it, she is absolutely gorgeous! But Beyonce does go through a vigorous exerice and diet routine to get that toned look. She is also able to adapt her look according to her various film roles as well as stage performances. So how does the bootylicious diva do it?

Diet

Beyonce’s diet is a low calorie, low fat, and low carb one. She is truly dedicated to it and she swears by it wherever she is. She sticks to her strict guidelines and eats a lot of green veggies, avoids red meat, bread, and alcohol. Something we should all probably adapt!

Master Cleanse

For her role in the movie “Dreamgirls,” Beyonce used the Master Cleanse Diet to lose weight fast. This is a very popular method used among celebrities to lose weight fast before an award show or event.

“My nutritionist suggested the only way to do that (lose a large amount of weight quickly) was the [maple syrup diet] fast”. “As soon as it was over, I gained the weight back”. “Normally they’d change your make-up or your clothes but I wanted to go the extra mile.” “Back in the sixties, models like Twiggy were popular and I knew Deena (her character) would have been thin then, so even though I really love eating, it was necessary to lose weight really fast because we shot Deena at 16 and Deena at 36 two weeks apart.”

“I was cranky,” Beyonce admitted to Oprah about her emotional state while doing the strict “Master Cleanse Diet“. “People were eating Krispy Kreme Doughnuts around me.”

Exercise

Beyonce loves dancing as a form of exercise. She also runs for cardio, doing intervals. “Changing it keeps me from being bored out of my mind. Plus, you burn more calories that way.” Beyonce also does light weights to keep her body strong and toned.

“I workout five times a week. I get up in the morning at around 8.30. I eat my cereal and I let it digest, then I do cardio for half an hour, followed by free weights for about 45 minutes.”

Beyonce’s Tips and Tricks

“I go through agonies to keep my stomach as flat as possible, though it is never flat enough for me.”

“Every time I take a (yoga) class, I want to cry. I don’t know if it’s because I’m relaxing, or if it’s that by the end of the class, your body can do things it couldn’t do in the beginning, so you feel accomplished and emotional. It’s therapeutic.”

“It is so tempting on film sets. They have these tables with every kind of chocolates, every type of bread – doughnuts, rolls and even cake.”

“I’d just eat pork skins because that’s the closest thing to chips that I could eat.

“I run and do press-ups to try and stay in shape, but I can’t resist chocolate.”

“I eat a lot of boring things like green vegetables. I don’t eat red meat or bread and I don’t drink alcohol – I just don’t like the taste.”

“I also do a lot of dancing which I think is the best exercise.”

    with the maple syrup diet can’t u keep the weight off without gaining it again.

    Well, the maple diet is still a “diet”, therefore, i don’t think you can keep the weight off unless you somehow keep the honey in your regular diet. In order to keep the weight off you have to continue a new long term diet, not a diet that you will quit after a month.

    Since I was really impressed of your body shape, especially your butt, I can’t resist myself how curiously about your body fit control. It is not much as different as other people, but you really did what you have to do. Now I learn from your diet program that as long as we can control our mind, we can still in shape. Thanks Beyonce, you are my inspiration!
