In this diet, “bad fats” are to be completely eliminated. These ‘bad fats’ are saturated fats as well as trans fats, so it is very important that you check all labels and look out for the bad fats. The South Beach Diet consists of three phases, all of which encourage good fats and carbs and discourages bad fats.
