Cameron Diaz has got the body of a goddess and no one is here to argue that. The surfer babe keeps her body in tip-top shape by watching what she eats, living a healthy lifestyle, and working out on a daily basis. But according to sources, Cameron now wants to start on the South Beach Diet, which is a renowned diet for eating healthy fats and carbs.

So what is the South Beach Diet all about? Basically, it’s a healthy diet that emphasizes the consumption of healthy fats and healthy carbs. The bad fats are made up of saturated and trans fats, which we should all stay away from so that’s why it’s very important to read the labels before consuming anything.

For this diet, Cameron hired a dietitian specializing in the South Beach Diet and she is currently in the first phase of the diet (the diet consists of 3 phases). In the first phase, dieters eliminate high-glycemic carbs such as dairy, bread, sugar, potatoes, candy, fruit, cereals and grain. These products eliminate insulin levels which in turn burns excess body fat, getting you, the dieter, to lose anywhere from between 8-13 pounds! The good thing about this phase is that you’re allowed to consume as much meat, cheese, nuts, vegetables, and fish as you want…or until you feel full!

After 2 weeks, the second phase starts where foods are reintroduced such as fruits and whole wheats. The amazing thing about the South Beach Diet is that it’s unlike any other diet. It’s not about consuming less or not eating, but about giving the body exactly what it needs and nothing more.

Since Cameron has started on the diet, she’s also been exercising a lot more doing her favorite outdoor activities such as jogging, hiking, and surfing. So if you want a smoking body like Cameron’s, just make sure you eat healthy and exercise…that’s all there is to it!
