It’s well known that Charlize Theron has one of the most natural bodies in Hollywood, and she’s also not afraid to admit she’s a size 10. You’ve probably heard of it many times before, but would you actually know how to follow a balanced diet? Well that’s what Charlize is doing. She is eating a combination of foods in controlled or moderate portions.
She eats meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy products, and more throughout the day, missing none of the important food groups. That’s the epitome of a balanced diet. However, to be more precise, check out the list of food groups you must not miss below:
* Carbohydrates – Our main sources of energy. We can get it from the starchy food we eat, such as bread, pasta, and cereals.
* Proteins – These are important for our body’s growth and repair. We get proteins from meats, nuts, and beans.
* Fats – By this, I mean healthy fats, such as those we get from fish, nuts, and more.
* Mineral salts – Minerals such as iron, calcium, and more are obtained from foods such as fruits and vegetables.
* Fiber – It is obtained mostly from fruits and vegetables and can help in digestion.
* Vitamins – Most foods contain these, but healthy sources such as fruits and vegetables, should be prioritized.
Sure it may sound like a lot to eat in a day, but trust me, all of these things are vital when following a balanced diet because you get everything your body actually needs to thrive. And it’s all about portion control, so although you might have to incorporate a lot of different ingredients into your meals, you don’t actually eat very much of it!
