Meg Ryan's Healthy Diet

Since Meg has such a busy schedule, it’s hard for her to stick to something and keep it up all the way through. That’s why Meg chose a diet that wouldn’t interfere with her busy lifestyle and one that permitted her to keep the diet wherever she goes. The diet in question is called the Macrobiotic Diet and is based on choosing foods that are less processed and more natural, and employing more traditional methods of cooking.

Meg enjoys whole grains such as brown rice and grain products such as pasta, a variety of cooked and raw vegetables, beans and bean products such as tofu, sea vegetables, mild natural seasoning, fish, fruit, nuts, seeds, and mild beverages.

The Macrobiotic Diet is considered as an approach to life, rather than a diet. It is a chosen lifestyle where you learn to eat healthy foods. Here are some general guidelines for following the Macrobiotic Diet:

  • Well chewed whole cereal grains, especially brown rice: 25-30%
  • Vegetables: 30-40%
  • Beans and legumes: 5-10 %
  • Miso soup: 5%
  • Traditionally or naturally processed foods: 5-10%

This is a great diet for anyone wishing to keep up their healthy lifestyle or anyone looking to change their lifestyle for that matter. It’s very important to be careful about what we consume and how we consume it. The Macrobiotic Diet is a great example of healthy living and celebs have been going crazy for this diet as it is easy to follow and doesn’t require pre-planned meals.
