Naomi Watts Gets in Shape

Naomi Watts has always been known for her slim and toned figure, but she says it’s a challenge to get in shape like that and stay like that. Although Naomi works hard at keeping up her shape, she says she doesn’t want to deprive herself of everything in sight. She’ll chow down on chocolate and burgers once in a while too. It’s all about balance! So what does Naomi do to look like that?

Apart from incorporating yoga, pilates, strength training, and many other workouts into her routine, Naomi loves nothing more than exercising outdoors. Before a big event she likes to get in shape by running outdoors for about 4-6 miles and also mountain biking for an hour-and-a-half.

Before Naomi started filming her hit movie “King Kong” , she trained 5 days a week which included a vigorous cardio workout. The point was to build Naomi’s stamina and strength so she could do some of the stunts that would be very physically demanding,

She also did a lot of strength training to tone up her muscles and get her to look a little stronger, but not necessarily buff her up and make her look “too worked on”. She did about 5-10 repetitions each day for about a week of various exercises including bench pressing.

This is a great workout for anyone that wants to get toned in a fast amount of time. But if you feel like you’re getting bored of the same old thing, take it outside. Working out in the outdoors is a lot better and healthier for you, so give it a try!
