Rachel Ray’s been struggling with her weight on and off for a few years now, but now she’s determined to get back in shape by following a healthy diet and exercising regulary. Rachael knows a thing or two about food and maybe that’s the problem; knowing how to cook delicious meals can lead to consuming those meals more than you should. Rachael has been on numerous diets and nothing seemed to work for her. Lately though, Rachel’s been on the Mediterranean Diet which has helped her slim down enormously.

The Mediterranean Diet is a diet that is based on the countries that surround the Mediterranean are. These countries mainly include Greece and Southern Italy.

The diet consists of:

  • Generous amounts of fruits and vegetables
  • Healthy fats such as olive oil and canola oil
  • Eating small portions of nuts
  • Drinking red wine, in moderation
  • Consuming very little red meat
  • Eating fish on a regular basis
  • Grains
  • Olives
  • Breads

Rachael keeps up with this diet and she also hits the gym more frequently…about 4 times a week. She jogs and does tonning exercises to flatten her arms, abs and butt.
